The REACH Medical Language Grant Program
Starting in 2022 REACH has been proud to partner with the International Language Institute of Massachusetts (ILI) located just up the road in Northampton Massachusetts.
- REACH provides grants for private tutoring for residents (typically 6-8 one-hour private sessions)
- Tutoring is currently available for Spanish and French
- This program is intended for medical residents with at least a basic command of French or Spanish who wish to work on medical vocabulary and conversational skills
- Tutoring sessions can be in person or remote and can be scheduled around a resident’s unique schedule
- Feedback from our resident polyglots has been universally positive 😊

The Baystate Medical Library also has Pimsleur language programs available free of charge to Baystate faculty for self-study
