Baystate is proud to collaborate with two hospitals located within the Navajo Nation operated by the Federal Indian Health Service (IHS)

Gallup Medical Center in Gallup, New Mexico

Tsehootsooi Medical Center located in Fort Defiance, Arizona

Month-long rotations will start in 2025

This partnership is currently available only to pediatric residents.

Housing & Travel

Housing is provided to residents in a small 2-bedroom home that may be shared with another resident or student. Often housing can be arranged for families. Free meals are provided at the hospital cafeteria. A $500 - $700 stipend is available for travel expenses.

During time off, there are opportunities for hiking, biking and skiing.
