Simulation Champions

We have at least one point person—called a simulation champion—for each of our many types of learners. For example, the Department of Medicine has simulation champions for their residents, PAs, attending physicians, and critical care fellows, hematology oncology fellows, cardiology fellows, and nephrology fellows.

Champions are appointed and responsible for oversight of all departmental simulation activities. They are educators who are responsible for developing and implementing simulation education in their department or area of expertise. They create curricula and act as instructors.

Our simulation staff help with professional development for the simulation champions, conducting training workshops and conferences around simulation education curriculum development and implementation.
