Research Faculty Development and Funding Opportunities

Grant Development Award Program (GDAP)

Deadlines are rolling with no set application date.

The GDAP offers support to Baystate faculty to write applications for external research grants (e.g. federal or foundation). The objective is to increase the number and quality of research grant applications from Baystate Health. Applicants may request up to 20% effort for 6 months, priority assistance from our grant-writer, and $500 towards an external review prior to submission.

For more information about the GDAP, email Alexander Knee, Director of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Alexander.Knee@baystatehealth.org or call 413-794-1086.

Research Pilot Award Program (RPAP)

The application period is currently closed.

The RPAP offers funding to Baystate faculty to generate pilot data to strengthen proposals for externally-sponsored research grants (e.g. federal or foundation). The objective is to generate preliminary data to increase the competitiveness of research grant applications from Baystate Health. Applicants may request up to $50,000 per year for two years. RPAP review criteria include: alignment with Baystate’s mission and/or compass points and likelihood to lead to externally sponsored grants. We give preference to junior investigators and senior investigators without current external funding.

For more information about the RPAP, email Alexander Knee, Director of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Alexander.Knee@baystatehealth.org or call 413-794-1086.
