They perform more than 16,000 surgical procedures a year. And as a teaching hospital, UMass Chan Medical School – Baystate, they a reputation for leading in surgical innovation, providing our students specialty surgical training that is at the forefront of the latest advances in medicine.

Our surgical residency program is led by a faculty of more than 50 nationally recognized surgeons who represent nearly every surgical field.
