Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Curriculum
Curriculum
Year 1
8 week rotations in each of the following:
- Cardiac Intensive Care Unit
- Cardiac consults
- Echocardiography
- Cath lab
- Research
4 weeks rotations in each of the following:
- Nuclear cardiology
- Electrophysiology
- Preventive cardiology
Continuity Clinic
- You will see outpatients at one of our regional community clinics one afternoon per week beginning in the 2nd week of July”.
Daily Conferences
- You will participate in daily educational conferences on a wide variety of topics. Noon conferences are held every day, and morning conferences are held twice a week.
Online Learning
- You will complete online modules in Cardiosource and Cardiovillage.
Year 2
8 week rotations in each of the following:
- Cardiac Intensive Care Unit
- Cardiac consults
- Echocardiography
- Cath lab
- Research
4 weeks rotations in each of the following:
- Nuclear cardiology
- Electrophysiology
Elective
- You will have your choice of an additional 4 weeks in one of the above rotations depending upon your personal interests.
Continuity Clinic
- You will continue to see outpatients at one of our regional community clinics one afternoon per week.

- You will continue to participate in daily educational conferences on a wide variety of topics. Noon conferences are held every day, and morning conferences are held twice a week.
Online Learning
- You will complete online modules in Cardiosource and take the ECG Assessment Exam for fellows in training. You will begin studying Nuclear Cardiology Online which provides you with the didactics required for COCATS level 2 training.
Year 3
10 weeks in Echocardiology
8 weeks in Nuclear Cardiology
6 week rotations in each of the following:
- Cardiac Intensive Care Unit
- Cardiac consults
- Cath lab
Electives
You will have your choice of how to spend an additional 12 weeks (or 3 blocks) in the above rotations depending upon your personal interests.
Continuity Clinic
