As Chair of the Department of Surgery Dr. Jabbour leads by example, treating every patient with the same respect, compassion, and interest as he does his own family. He firmly believes the trust he earns with this approach makes stressful conditions more manageable for patients and their families and contributes to a better recovery experience. Throughout his 30 years of practice, he has contributed to the field of transfusion-free surgery through numerous publications and two books and was a leader in initiating the world’s first bloodless live donor liver transplantation program at USC, Los Angeles.
