The Oncology Department at Baystate Franklin Medical Center hosts free ongoing cancer support groups.
The Spring and Summer 2009 schedule for these year-long drop-in groups is as follows:
- Newly Diagnosed Breast Cancer (open to and designed for survivors within the first 24 months of diagnosis and treatment) - First Wednesday of each month through August 5 (no meeting in July), in Conference Room A, Baystate Franklin Medical Center, 164 High Street, Greenfield, 5:15-6:45pm. Light refreshments served, courtesy of Rays of Hope.
- General Cancer Support (open to those diagnosed with all types of cancer and their friends and families) - First Wednesday of each month through August 5 (no meeting in July), in the Oncology Waiting Room, Baystate Franklin Medical Center, 164 High Street, Greenfield, 7:00-8:30pm.
- Breast Cancer Support Group (open to all women with breast cancer and survivors, regardless of their current status, who are two years and beyond from their diagnosis and treatment) - Second Wednesday of each month through August 12 (no meeting in July) in Conference Room A, Baystate Franklin Medical Center, 164 High Street, Greenfield, 5:30-7:30 pm.
