Suzanne Barry, DO

Suzie grew up in Twentynine Palms, California and is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton with a major in biochemistry.  She spent her junior year at McGill University in Montreal and did biochemistry research during her senior year at San Francisco State University.  While in SF she participated in her first triathlon and played on a rugby club team.  After graduation, Suzie moved to the east coast and spent a year managing a coffee shop before entering UNE.  In medical school she was inducted into the Sigma Sigma Phi Honorary Osteopathic Service Fraternity, was the race director for the inaugural 5k Turkey Trot, traveled to Guatemala to do medical service work, and was named Student DO of the Year in 2007.  At the end of the second year, she received a pre-doctoral fellowship in the departments of Anatomy and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and spent a year teaching on campus as junior faculty.  She is a member of Phi Sigma Alpha National Osteopathic Honor Society.  She enjoys running, cycling and knitting and has recently started cello lessons.  Her husband Shawn is an emergency room nurse.
